Dr. Haug worked in the veterinary field for 26 years before graduating from Texas A&M University in 2014 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Her special interests include feline medicine, pediatrics, and diagnostic imaging. She is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Haug and her husband, Eric, have lived in Magnolia since 1996. They own an exotic pet store in Hockley and enjoy interacting with schools and boy/girl scout events in the community.

In her free time, Dr. Haug enjoys gardening, various crafts, and spending time with her animals. Her menagerie includes horses, goats, & micropigs, in addition to her beloved canine and feline companions.

Heather is a talented vet tech that has a passion for improving the wellbeing of pets. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from Texas A&M University at Galveston and has over eighteen years of experience working in the veterinary field.  She loves seeing the success stories along with the joy pets bring their owners.

When Heather isn’t healing pets, she loves watching sports, going to the beach, and cooking. She has two tuxedo cats named Joshua Aiden and Liam, a calico named Pookie, a Siamese cat named Yin, and a Boston Terrier named Gemma Simmons.
